Way back on the last day of April I went out to San Diego for a few days and I never posted anything about it. It was great to get to see B & E and the cats & dog. The weather was pretty cool (the temp), cloudy, and rainy the whole time there. It was also the first time I’ve been out to San Diego and not gotten to see a baseball game! We had a lot of fun though. We ate a lot of great food as always, we went to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial, and saw the beach. Can’t wait to go again!

Long Memorial Day weekend
Here are some pics from Memorial Day weekend. A trip out to San Diego included family time, a baseball game, some exploring, and some good food. Luna was boarded and she had a good time too. I didn’t get as many pics as I could have but here we go. Most of the pics of Luna are from the daycare. I think they’re just trying to sell the more expensive package next time, which includes pictures. They were really cool to see though.
it takes more than this
this morning i went to the shelter and walked some dogs. the weather has been cloudy/drizzly every time i’ve gone. i walked stallone and tanner again, plus a few new dogs.
zoe – zoe is old but zoe was pretty fun other than the fact she pulls a lot on leash. i took her in the big play yard and she fetched, dropped it, sat, shaked, and layed down. i was pretty impressed with her talent
polo – polo is on his second stint in the shelter. he was pretty well behaved and i got him to sit a couple of times. mostly he’s just way more interested in the other dogs and wants to play. he was really pretty.
gordita – let me tell you about this handful. gordita is very shy. i took her to a smaller play yard and let her off leash and she kind of checked it out and checked out other dogs walking by. when it was time to leave though she would not let me get near her at all. after about 15 minutes i finally asked a girl in the yard next to me if she could try. of course she got gordita on lease no problem. next time the leash stays on this young lady.
in other news today i decided to do a little refresh on my laptop. i bought it 7 years ago when i knew i’d be traveling more to see B. it has lasted me well since then. last year i upgraded the battery which was pretty easy. this time i decided to replace the keyboard and the touchpad. it took a little time but i just sat on the phone with B the whole time while i worked on it. no screws were left out and both work so much better now.
finally i cooked a pretty good soup for dinner…not great, but one i would make again. fish soup, from some site called posh journal lol..inside joke there.

I ate a lot of really good food while I was on vacation. The most interesting and unique thing was at the sushi place we went to. On some sushi/rolls it comes with a very thin slice of lemon. I am not a lemon fan. When life hands you lemons I say throw that shit away but this was so good. It was a very refreshing addition to the fish. I cannot wait to eat it again.
